Back to School



It's the beginning of September and that means it's back to school. It can be a little daunting if your little one is starting school for the first time or going back to school, transitioning to another year group.

You may have enjoyed the summer holidays with a staycation, days trips or playdates. Now, it is time to get ready for school.


Here are 5 tips to support you with the transition from the summer holidays to school.


1 Prepare school uniform and PE kit the night before.

2 Label everything! For example clothes, shoes, water bottle, bag, coat, hat and pack lunch box.

3 Talk about school, ask your child what are they looking forward to.

4 Discuss your child's thoughts and feelings about school.

5 Be positive and say affirmations to encourage your child's confidence and wellbeing.
